Midweek Moments

It definitely feels like a long week — filled with doctor’s appointments and parent-teacher conferences (don’t we just love that? 😅).

With so many competing priorities, I wont get the chance to finish setting up our guest bathroom. But with the help of my daughter — the true little shopper — we found these amazing natural stone bath mats, and I’m obsessed! I even grabbed one for our master bathroom. I just wish they made them a little bigger, but honestly, not having to wash bath mats or worry about odors is a total win in my book.

Job Hunt Update:
I’m staying optimistic about finding the right role for this stage of life. With two kids — one getting ready for softball and the other deep in toddlerhood, I really value being present and available. I’m so grateful for a supportive hubby who helps make that possible.

Speaking of my husband, he has some work in Orlando next week, so we’re turning it into a Disney World trip! 🎢✨ I’ll definitely be sharing some of the fun, exciting treats, and rides we come across.

Sometimes the middle of the week feels like a blur, but taking a second to recognize the little things — progress, plans, and even new bath mats, really helps keep the balance. 💛

Little Wins Lately

I’ll be honest, I was pretty disappointed this morning. I didn’t get any workouts in over the weekend or yesterday, and that had me feeling off. But today was a new day, and I made sure to fit in some HOTWORX. Which, by the way, is amazing. I can’t recommend it enough.

During yoga, I had a little zen moment and started reflecting on the fact that I’ve actually built a routine. A few months ago, I didn’t even have one or a gym membership — so that’s a win in itself. And of course, I can’t reflect without thinking of my kiddos. It’s wild to realize we’ve been here almost two months now. Proud mom moment: both my son and daughter have adapted so well. Their sleep schedules and eating habits are on track, maybe even better than before. We’ve started creating weekly dinner meal plans and officially have our go-to grocery stores (you know you’re settled when you have a favorite grocery run!).

Overall, I think it’s so important to celebrate these small, everyday wins — from morning routines to late-night TV. Speaking of which, tonight I’ll be watching the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2025, I can’t miss it! My sisters and I used to love the iconic body sprays when we were younger. If you’re tuning in too or want to shop some of the looks and favorites featured in the show, I’ve linked it below (affiliate link).

Long weekend vibes

The last couple of days I’ve been battling shoes. Seriously, shoe storage might be one of the toughest household challenges. I’ve been trying to find a way to store them without forgetting about them, especially for the kids. I want them to actually wear the shoes before they outgrow another size because we all know how fast that happens.

Let’s just say for now… shoe storage is officially on hold because we’re heading into a nice long weekend. The kids and husband are home for the next few days, and we’re definitely excited to do a little exploring. We’re planning to check out a few pumpkin patches, soak up the warm fall weather, sneak in some of our favorite shows and football.

I’ve always been a reality TV lover — The Amazing Race has been a favorite since I was younger. I used to watch it with my sisters, and now I’ve completely pulled my husband into it too. Still can’t believe it’s still going.

A few friends have also been suggesting some spooky shows for the season, like The Monster on Netflix and Sinners on HBO. I’m not huge on scary films, but I might give them a peek and watch some cartoons afterwards.

Well here’s to a long weekend full of family time, some cozy moments, and maybe a few new shows to get hooked on. 🍂

New Home New Habits

Let’s talk about motivation and routine two things I’ve been finding both a little hard to keep up with. Funny enough, my best friend and I were just talking about this today. How staying motivated and consistent can feel so hard when life changes and routines get shaken up.

Between not so much unpacking anymore, but more just adjusting , I’ll be honest my mind has been running nonstop with home décor ideas, paint colors, and furniture plans for our new space. That alone has me scrolling way more than I should some days, and honestly, that’s probably the real struggle. I’ve also realized that so much of my daily structure used to revolve around work, and now that it’s on pause, it’s surprisingly tough to reset.

This week, though, I’m finally starting to find a bit of balance. I’ve been starting my mornings with ACTIVATEDYOU favorite flavor is citrus which has really helped with digestion. For years I’ve struggled with bloating and constipation, but this is one product that’s truly made a difference. I’m feeling lighter and more energized.

And today, I went for a run! I probably only ran twice while we were in Massachusetts, so this felt like a big step. I loved it. I even had to switch up my route because of nearby construction, and that little detour turned into a much-needed reminder that sometimes change leads you exactly where you need to go.

Starting My Wellness Journey, One Juice at a Time

It all begins with an idea.

It’s been about a month now since we settled into our new home here in Texas. Coming from Massachusetts, it’s definitely been a journey — one filled with excitement, adjustment, and a little bittersweetness. Leaving Massachusetts meant leaving behind a familiar rhythm, but it’s also given me something I didn’t realize I needed: space to breathe.

As I start my job search, I’m taking things slow — really thinking about what I feel passionate about and what aligns with this new chapter. The downtime has been… well, different. At first, it felt strange not to be constantly busy, but now I’m learning to appreciate it. I’m enjoying being present with my family — and for the first time in a long time, truly present with myself.

With that said, moving to a new area and new home means trying new things. My hope is that the fun discoveries I come across — whether it’s local spots, new foods, or wellness and beauty finds — will inspire you too.

Right now, I’m kicking things off with a little reset: a one-day cleanse from Pressed Juicery. I’m about halfway through my juices, and honestly, I feel great. Every few hours, just as hunger starts to creep in, it’s time for the next bottle. It’s keeping me mindful and refreshed — exactly what I needed to start feeling balanced again.

Here’s to slowing down, embracing change, and finding new ways to nourish both mind and body.

Starting My Wellness Journey, One Juice at a Time

I couldn’t just ignore the fact that I actually finished my cleanse yesterday and well lets just say I cheated. Around 7 p.m., the hunger definitely kicked in. You know how it goes — the kids never quite finish their dinner, and as I was cleaning up and chatting with my husband, I took a small bite of chicken. Instant regret! But hey, I think I’ll survive.

This morning I felt a bit bloated (honestly, still kind of do), but I’m hopeful tomorrow I’ll feel more balanced.

Since I couldn’t unwind with a glass of wine last night, I decided to go all in on pampering instead. I treated myself to a facial — my favorite is Lush cosmetics, one I used last night was Don’t Look at Me and but couldnt go without mentioning the Mask of Magnaminty, both amazing. We always keep them in the fridge, and with this Texas heat, that cool feeling on my skin is everything.

Despite the lingering bloat, I woke up this morning with glowing skin — so I’ll take that as a win!
